Dan Backlund of the men's swimming team has been chosen as a Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

Backlund had a strong individual meet as he won the 100-free (47.54) and placed second in both the 100-fly (53.94) and the 50-free (21.62), and was a member of the 400-free relay that posted a 3:11.06.
