Owen Carney of the men's gymnastics team has been named the Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

Carney qualified for the second day of the NCAA National Collegiate Championships for the second-straight year on the vault as the Pride competed at Ohio State over the weekend. The sophomore scored a 13.166 in the finals on Saturday a night after delivering a team-best mark of 14.433 on the apparatus. He also notched a team-high score 12.900 on the high bar on Friday evening.
