Williams Notches 188-110 Victory Over Women's Swimming and Diving

Springfield, Mass. – January 21, 2012 – The visiting Williams College Ephs recorded a 188-110 win over Springfield College in a women’s swimming and diving dual meet on Saturday afternoon in the Art Linkletter Natatorium.

Kellie Pennington had a standout day in the pool as she won the 50 free in 24.31 and the 100 free in 52.71. She also finished second in 100 fly with a time of 1:00.75.

Springfield’s other winner in the pool on the day was Janella Cuyler, who won the 100 breast in 1:11.45. Kelsey Poole added second-place points as she was the runner-up in the 200 back after touching in 2:15.16, while also finishing third in the 100 fly (1:02.39) and 100 back (1:03.85) .

Caroline Kosciusko also placed third in the 200 free with a 2:01.83.

In the one-meter diving competition, Courtney Keefe was victorious as she totaled 261.75 points, edging teammate Jennifer Thompson’s second-place score of 261.37. Thompson also finished second on the three-meter after posting a score of 267.45 .

The Pride will not swim again until Sunday, February 5 when it travels to take on Amherst.
