Springfield 3, Catholic 0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-11)

Natalie Billet (Commack, N.Y.) turned in a match-best 11 kills at a .370 clip and Maeve Voltz (Bay Shore, N.Y.) produced nine kills at a .643 clip to go along with three blocks.  Kristen DeLorenzo (Syracuse, N.Y.) recorded 18 digs, Riley Donahue (South Windsor, Conn.) tallied three aces and 12 digs, and Tori Colosimo (Fairport, N.Y.) registered 23 digs in helping the Pride to a .344 team hitting percentage.

Trailing 10-8 in the first, Springfield called for a timeout, and out of the break rattled off a 13-3 burst to seize a 21-13 cushion following a kill from Jodi Saelua (Mililani, Hawaii). Catholic would get no closer than three points before Donahue put away Springifeld's 18th kill of the set to complete the 25-21 win.

Holding onto a 15-14 lead midway through the second, a kill from Colosimo jumpstarted a four-point burst which featured a kill and block from Voltz. Springfield would get a trio of kills from both Billet and Voltz in the stanza as it would pull away from the 25-15 win.

Knotted up at 3-3 in the third, Springfield would use an 8-2 push to take control of the set following back-to-back aces from Colosimo. Springfield would hit .429 in the set with 13 kills, including four from Billet, while limiting Catholic to a -.083 hitting percentage with just three team kills in the 25-11 win.

Springfield 3, Scranton 0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-15)
Jodi Saelua (Mililani, Hawaii) was tremendous with a career-best 12 kills at a .391 hitting percentage, Kristen DeLorenzo (Syracuse, N.Y.) notched 20 digs, and Tori Colosimo (Fairport, N.Y.) stuffed her stat sheet with 15 assists, eight digs, and four aces.

Springfield went down 11-6 early in the first and Scranton would own a 21-18 edge as the set was winding down.  However, kills from Maeve Voltz (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Saelua highlighted a six-point run as Springfield opened up a 23-21 cushion of its own.  The teams would again be knotted up at 24 apiece, only to have Saelua convert on back-to-back kills to complete the 26-24 win.   In a frame where Springfield had 19 kills, Saelua was impressive with six kills on 10 errorless attempts.

The Pride jumped out to a 15-10 lead on a Colosimo ace coming out of a Scranton timeout, but a late 5-0 burst by the Royals gave them a 23-22 edge following three-straight Springfield attack errors.  Billet would sideout with a kill, and after back-to-back hitting errors by Scranton, Saelua came through with her third kill of the set to finish off the 25-23 win.

Springfield carried that momentum into the third, with a solo block by Voltz capping off an 8-2 Pride run to force Scranton into a timeout at 13-7 .  Voltz would account for three blocks in the stanza to as part of a Springfield defense that limited the hosts to a .050 hitting percentage in the 25-15 triumph.
