South Hadley, Mass. - April 24, 2024 - The Springfield College men's tennis team had its season come to a close on Wendesday afternoon in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship Quarterfinals in a 5-1 setback to Clark at Mount Holyoke College.

In a showdown of the fifth-seeded Pride and fourth-seeded Cougars, Clark was able to take a 2-1 lead after doubles play before taking the first three singles matches to clinch the postseason victory. 

Springfield's lone point of the day came at the No. 3 doubles spot as  Phakin Thongbooncharoen (Bangkok, Thailand) and Ethan Gomulka (San Bernardino, Calif.) grinded out an 8-6 triumph.
