Springfield, Mass. - October 6, 2025 - Springfield College junior defensive lineman
Tyler Sordillo (Hull, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Football Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Sordillo guided the Pride defense with 2.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and nine total tackles en route to a 28-14 victory in a NEWMAC showdown against Salve Regina, the top-ranked team in New England.
Springfield (3-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) enters its bye week and returns to action on October 18 at WPI for a 3:30 pm matchup.
