Springfield, Mass. - November 1, 2025 - The Springfield College women's soccer team finished its regular season with a 7-2 win against New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opponent Clark this afternoon.
The Pride finishes the season 9-8 overall and 8-3 in the NEWMAC. Clark finished 7-6-5 and 3-5-3. Peyton Knott (Leicester, Mass.), Kaitlyn Suller (Oviedo, Fla.), Rosie Turbett (Wallingford, Conn.) each scored two goals while Meredith Healy (Niantic, Conn.) added one as well. Knott and Turbett both scored their first goals of the season.
The Pride came out hot, scoring its first goal just 13 seconds into the game when Natalia Mottura (Scarsdale, N.Y.) lifted the ball into the center of the box for Suller to score.
About two minutes later, Jessica Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) connected with Healy to put the Pride up two.
The scoring did not stop as Springfield added three more goals in the first half - two coming from Turbett and another from Suller.
At the end of the half, Selene Hammad notched one to put Clark on the board and in the 68th minute Ainsley Golini scored to put them within three.
Springfield responded about seven minutes later, when Turbett's shot was saved and Knott was able to put it in off of the rebound and then Knott scored another goal in the 81st minute off of a pass from Katie McFerran (Selkirk, N.Y.).
The Pride outshot Clark 15-9 while Clark held a 6-5 edge on corner kicks. Mairead Marsden (Amsterdam, N.Y.) had five saves in the win.
With the win, the Pride enter the NEWMAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed for the second straight year and will be hosting a first round game.
