Springfield, Mass. – January 23, 2026 – Eight student-athletes from the Springfield College football program were recently named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their efforts on the field and in the classroom this year.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher, compete in 90-percent of the team's games played OR start in at least 66-percent of the team's games over the course of the season.

The trio also helped Springfield rush for 3,960 total yards – the third most rushing yards in any division of football across the nation only behind Division II Harding and Ferris State. Springfield ranked first in Division III in time of possession and tenth in 3rd down conversion percentage. Connell also represented Springfield on the D3football.com All-Region team, NEFW Division III All-New England team, All-ECAC team and All-NEWMAC team.

In 12 games, Dunn rushed for 662 yards and five touchdowns – two of which came in the NCAA Tournament first round win over Cortland on November 22. Dunn posted the third most rushing yards on the team this season as well.

Earlier this season, Sordillo was recognized as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Player of the Year and as a two-time All-American.
