Springfield, Mass. – March 12, 2026 – The Springfield College Department of Athletics surpassed $300,000 in gifts for the second consecutive year in another record-breaking day of support on the 11th anniversary of Giving Day and the Maroon vs. White Challenge on Wednesday, March 4.

The Springfield College Athletics community came together and saw a record 1,655 donors with impressive participation from alumni, parents and friends of each team. In total, 21 of 24 programs reached their donor goals and 21 programs saw 20 or more donors contribute.

"We're incredibly thankful for the amazing support from our alumni, family, and friends," said Director of Athletics Craig Poisson. "These record-breaking gifts - surpassing what Springfield Athletics raised a year ago - will go straight towards elevating the overall student-athlete experience."

The Maroon vs. White Challenge met its goal once again as just nine donors separated the two teams with the Maroon Team coming out in front and winning this year. A total of 932 donors gave to Team Maroon and 817 donors gave to Team White raising a combined $350,074.

Springfield College as a whole raised over $1,000,000 for the first time in the history of the institution.
