Wellesley, Mass. - March 29, 2026 - Springfield College women's tennis was swept by No. 22 Wellesley in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup on Sunday afternoon.
Springfield sits at 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference while Wellesley improves to 6-3, 2-0.
The Blue swept all three doubles matches, defeating each pair by a score of 6-3.
Kapom Vettayawaikoon (Phuket, Thailand) put up a fight at No. 1 singles, winning the first set, but then dropping the match by scores of 6-2, 2-6, 2-6 before Erica Jud (Glen Head, N.Y.) battled at No. 2 losing by scores of 6-3, 6-3.
The Pride will look to bounce back on Saturday against Clark at the Appleton Tennis Courts.
