Springfield College football will welcome young athletes from throughout the community to Stagg Field on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for a free youth football clinic designed to introduce children to the game while promoting teamwork, confidence and a lifelong love of football.
The clinic, which is open to students in grades 3–8, will be led by Springfield College football coaches and student-athletes and will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with registration beginning at 9:30 am.
There is no pre-registration required and participants do not need to bring any football equipment. The event is designed to be accessible to players of all experience levels, including children who may be picking up a football for the very first time.
Throughout the morning, participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football, develop their skills, compete in a fun and encouraging environment and learn directly from the Springfield College football players and coaching staff.
“This is a great opportunity for our program to give back to the community and introduce the next generation to the game we love,” said the Springfield College football program. “We want kids to come out, have fun, learn something new and leave with an even greater appreciation for football and what it means to be part of a team.”
Following the clinic, participants will be treated to pizza and ice cream and will have an opportunity to meet and interact with Springfield College football players.
Most importantly, the clinic is intended to create a welcoming environment where young athletes can have fun, make new friends, and experience football in a positive and inspiring setting.
