Springfield, Mass. - March 4, 2023 - Members of the Springfield College men's track and field program competed in both the AARTFC Indoor Championships in New York City and the Tufts National Qualifying Meet outside of Boston in their final competition of the indoor season. Teams from all across the Division III landscape were in attendance at the meets as student-athletes attempted to acheive national qualifying standards, or improve their position on the national lists.
In New York, Evan Weber (Purchase, N.Y.) sprinted his way to a fifth-place finish in the 60 meters with a 6.98 and later finished fourth in the 200 with a 21.93. David Cataloni (Attleboro, Mass.) ran the 60 hurdles in 8.93, while in the long jump, Colby Wilson (Tewksbury, Mass.) turned in a 6.49 meters, and Jamie Cocca (Sand Lake, N.Y.) posted a 13.37 in the shot put and a 15.76 in the weight throw.
At Tufts, the distance medley relay team of Aidan Harmer (Hawthorne, N.J.), Thomas Czerwinski (Suffern, N.Y.), Joe Wong (Salem, Mass.) and Rece Gobel (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) ran a 10:24.35.
