Dedham, Mass. – May 13, 2023 – Fueled by one of the top performances in the country this season in the 4x100 relay, the Springfield College men's track and field team finished tied for 23rd at New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) All-New England Championships.
A week removed from winning the New England Division III Championship in the event, Michael Scott (Shoreview, Minn.), Seth Regan (Killingworth, Conn.), Evan Weber (Purchase, N.Y.) and Anthony Penta (Southington, Conn.) put together the 10th-fastest time in Division III this season, as they combined for a 40.94 to win the title against competition from Division I, II, and III.
In the 10,000 Christopher Vayda (Southampton, Mass.) registered a 32:22.58 to place in 16th,while Thomas Czerwinski's (Suffern, N.Y.) time of 23.10 that was good enough for 25th in the 200.
This upcoming week, Springfield will travel to Pennsylvania to compete in the AARTFC Outdoor Championships hosted by Susquehanna.
