4x100 Relay Races In NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Pittsford, N.Y.  - May 26, 2022 - The Springfield College's 4x100 relay team raced in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday evening at the St. John Fisher University's Polisseni Track and Field Complex.

The relay comprised of Evan Weber (Purchase, N.Y.), Michael Scott (Shoreview, Minn.), Anthony Penta (Southington, Conn.) and Seth Regan (Killingworth, Conn.) qualified for the national event after they smashed the school record at last week's AARTFC Championships at Susquehanna University when they posted a time of 40.62, the fifth fastest time in the country and the top time in New England this season. The quartet was seeded fifth in the group of 16 qualifiers in next week's NCAA Championships

Racing in the prelims on Thursday afternoon, the team turned in a time of 41.03, taking sixth in their heat en route to finishing 11th overall in the event, as they missed out on qualifying for the finals by .03 seconds.
