Babson Park, Mass. - April 20, 2024 -The Springfield College women's tennis team was bested by No. 20 nationally-ranked Babson, 9-0, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on Saturday.
In doubles play, Springfield's best performance came at the No. 1 spot as
Ramida Manataweewat (Bangkok, Thailand) and
Kapom Vettayawaikoon (Phuket, Thailand) were edged by an 8-4 decision.
Kate Rosselli (Trumbull, Conn.) battled tough for the Pride in singles play but was toppled, 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 6 position.
Springfield will continue conference play on April 23 when it travels to play Smith.
