Springfield, Mass. - April 29, 2024 - Springfield College's Vincent Scialdone (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was recognized as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Lacrosse Face-Off Specialist of the Week following a dominant performance in the Pride's regular-season finale. 

The junior won 18-of-20 face-offs and scooped up 13 ground balls in a 20-8 win for the Pride over Wheaton on Saturday.  Thanks to his efforts, Springfield locked up the number two seed in the upcoming NEWMAC Championship Tournament and will host MIT on Thursday in a semifinal clash at 7 pm on Stagg Field.
