The win boosted Springfield's record to 10-2 on the year, as it remained perfect in conference play at 6-0.

Haley Moody (Wells, Maine) needed to make six saves in the win.Â
Springfield netted three unassisted goals in the opening seven-plus minutes of the game, including a pair from
Lily Johnson (Oceanside, N.Y.). However, the hosts would respond with four-straight goals of their own in the final 6:05 of the quarter to take a 4-3 cushion.Â
Wheaton would extend its lead to 5-3 at the 8:58 mark of the second before the scoring surge would begin for the Pride, which was jump started by a pair of strikes from Roy. Springfield's run of 13-straight goals allowed them to take a 16-5 lead after
Izzy Lalancette (Feeding Hills, Mass.) pumped in an unassisted strike with 7:02 left in the third.Â
Sarah Newton (Colchester, Conn.) finished off her hat trick inside the first minute of the fourth to make it an 18-6 game as the visitors cruised to their sixth conference win of the year.Â
