Cortland, N.Y. – May 16, 2024 – The Springfield College men's track and field team completed their 2023-24 season at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships held on campus of Cortland State and the MIT final qualifier in Cambridge today.
Highlighting the meet was the 4x100-meter relay team of
Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.),
Dante Lingley (Westbrook, Maine), Anthony Penta (Southington, Conn.) and
Seth Regan (Killingworth, Conn.) who placed as the runner-up in 41.63-seconds. Anderson went on to place seventh in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.43-seconds, while Penta took 41st in the 100-meter dash in 11.32-seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay of Anderson,
Sam Polley (Feeding Hills, Mass.),
Tyler Fabbri (Andover, Mass.) and
Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) recorded a ninth place finish in 3:21.13. Polley went on to place 23rd in the 400-meter dash in 49.55-seconds.
Anik Dole (Dubai, UAE) and Regan competed in the 200-meter dash, with Dole taking sixth in
21.68 while Regan crossed the finish line in 22.64.
In the high jump, both
Daniel Hyde (Monroe, Conn.) and
Jamil Manu (Manchester, Conn.) cleared 1.88-meters (6 feet, 2 inches), while
Patrick Dahm (Feeding Hills, Mass.) took 14th in the long jump with a best leap of 6.57-meters (21 feet 6.75 inches) and
Travis Brown (Hartford, Conn.) took 22nd in the javelin with a best throw of 48.05-meters (157 feet, 7 inches).
Daniel McGlashan (Haverhill, Mass.) competed in the triple jump and recorded a best leap of 12.71-meters (41 feet, 8.5 inches).
At MIT,
Joe Wong (Salem, Mass.) competed in the 800-meter run and produced a 1:53.76 for the eighth-fastest time in the event.
