Men's Track and Field Takes 15th at New England Division III Regional Championships

South Hadley, Mass. – May 4, 2024 – The Springfield College men's track and field team finished 15th overall with 27 points at the 2024 New England Division III Outdoor Regional Championships today on the campus of Mount Holyoke College.

On the track, Anik Dole (Dubai, UAE) registered the best finish for the Pride as he took runner-up honors in the 200-meter dash in 21.75-seconds. He was followed by Seth Regan (Killingworth, Conn.) in seventh (22.08) and Giovanni Henrickson (Chelsea, Mass.) in 30th (23.05). Dole also placed seventh in the 100-meter dash in 11.02.

Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.) posted an eighth place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.27-seconds, while Joe Wong (Salem, Mass.) placed eighth in the 800-meter run in 1:52.73. Sam Polley (Feeding Hills, Mass.) placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in 49.23-seconds and was followed in 15th by Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) in 49.95, while Christopher Vayda (Southampton, Mass.) crossed the line sixth in the 10,000-meter run in 32:25.58. Adam Mula (West Townsend, Mass.) rounded out the individual highlights for Springfield on the track with an 11th place finish in the 1,500-meter run in 3:57.86.

Dole and Regan teamed up with Dante Lingley (Westbrook, Maine) and Anthony Penta (Southington, Conn.) for a fifth place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 42.07-seconds, while Polley, Hansen and Anderson teamed up with Tyler Fabbri (Andover, Mass.) for a seventh place finish in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:22.15.

In the field events, Jamil Manu (Manchester, Conn.) placed 11th in the high jump (1.89-meters, 6 feet, 2.25 inches) and 17th in the long jump (6.39-meters, 20 feet, 11.75 inches), while Travis Brown (Hartford, Conn.) took 17th in the javelin (51.55-meters, 169 feet, 1 inch) and Alex McKenney (Ossining, N.Y.) placed 19th in the pole vault (4.07-meters, 13 feet, 4.25 inches).

Springfield will head to Williams College for the Farley Inter-Regional next weekend.
