Cambridge, Mass. - October 11, 2025 - The Springfield College women's soccer team was defeated by No. 11 MIT this afternoon, 4-0.

The Engineers improve to 11-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference while the Pride go to 4-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

MIT got the scoring going in the 21st minute when Sasha Ceol headed the ball off of a corner kick to give the Engineers the lead.Â

In the second half, Natalie Barnouw connected with Arianna Doss who was able to tap the ball in at the opposite post to put them up two. The Engineers went on to score two more goals to give them the 4-0 win.

MIT outshot Springfield 23-7 and held a 6-4 edge on corner kicks.
Mairead Marsden (Amsterdam, N.Y) had five saves in 76 minutes of play.Â
The Pride will travel to Wheaton (Mass.) on Wednesday for a 3:30 pm kickoff.
