Springfield, Mass. - October 8, 2025 - The Springfield College women's soccer team edged Coast Guard, 2-1, behind two goals from
Meredith Healy (Niantic, Conn.) this evening.
The Pride improve to 4-6-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the conference while Coast Guard drops to 1-9-2 overall and 0-4-0 in conference play.
In the 7th minute of the game,
Rosie Turbett (Wallingford, Conn.) connected with Healy who drove into the box and buried the ball in the top left corner of the goal.
Healy scored her second goal of the night after she ran onto a ball from
Kaitlyn Suller (Oviedo, Fla.) and drilled it past the keeper.
Less than a minute later, Coast Guard scored off a rebounded ball to put them within one.
Springfield outshot Coast Guard by one and held a 5-3 edge on corner kicks.
Mallory Forgatch (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) had six saves in the win.Â
The Pride will travel to No. 11 MIT on Saturday for a 1:00 pm matchup.Â
