Saelua, Colosimo, and Hughes Named to AVCA All-Region 2 Teams

Springfield, Mass. - November 24, 2025 - Three student-athletes from the Springfield College women's volleyball team were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 2025 Division III Women's Volleyball All-Region teams.

Juniors Tori Colosimo (Fairport, N.Y.) and Jodi Saelua (Mililani, Hawaii) were named to the AVCA Division III All-Region 2 First Team after recently being named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference Second Team. First-year Aubrey Hughes (Liberty Hill, Texas) was named AVCA Division III All-Region 2 Honorable Mention for the first honor of her career. All three student-athletes were instrumental in helping the Pride to a 23-win season and getting an at-large bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament.

This is the second honor of Colosimo's career as she was named the 2023 AVCA Division III Region 2 Freshman of the Year along with being named to the 2023 AVCA Division III All-Region 2 First Team. She was named the Most Valuable Player and to the All-Tournament Team at the season opening Joel B. Dearing '79 Volleyball Classic after recording over 100 assists, 13 kills, nine digs, and six blocks over three matches. Colosimo continues to show that she is one of the top setters in the NEWMAC as she finished third in assists with 927 and registered 57 aces. Earlier this season, Colosimo became the ninth student-athlete in Springfield women's volleyball history to eclipse 2,000 career assists.

Saelua had a dominant junior season as one of the top middle blockers in the league as she led the conference in total blocks (104) and ranked third in hitting percentage (.361) with her team-best 237 kills on the year. Nationally, Saelua ranks 17th in Division III in hitting percentage and is among the top-50 in total blocks and blocks per set.

Hughes had an incredible start to her young career totaling 204 kills, a .314 hitting percentage, 69 blocks (third best), and 46 service aces. In NEWMAC contests, Hughes was fifth in the league in hitting percentage (.382) and blocks (36).

Springfield ended its 2025 season at 23-8 overall and earned the program's fourth at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament in five seasons under the direction of head coach Moira Long.
