Springfield, Mass. – July 23, 2026 - Springfield College women's volleyball head coach Moira Long has announced the Pride's 2026 schedule which is slated to begin on September 4 in Blake Arena with the Joel B. Dearing '79 Classic.

FULL SCHEDULE

The Pride will play a 27-match slate featuring a number of challenging non-conference contests, 11 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tilts, and a trio of early-season tournaments as Springfield prepares for another run at the conference championship. Five of Springfield's opponents appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament including MIT, Babson, Tufts, Stevens and Williams with MIT and Tufts ending the year ranked 11th and 12th, nationally.

Springfield will open the 2026 campaign by hosting the annual Joel B. Dearing '79 Classic on September 4-5 in Blake Arena and Dana Gymnasium. Springfield will welcome Westfield State, Skidmore and Keene State for the two-day event, beginning the season against Westfield State on Friday evening before taking on Keene State and Skidmore on Saturday.

Springfield remains at home for a marquee non-conference matchup with regional power Amherst on September 8 before traveling to New Paltz, for the Hawks Invitational on September 11-12 where the Pride will face Colby-Sawyer, Vassar and host New Paltz.

Following a home contest against Trinity College (Conn.) on September 15, Springfield heads to Hoboken, on September 18-19 for the Stevens Quad for matches against Oneonta, Stevens and William Paterson.

NEWMAC play begins on September 22 when Springfield welcomes Wellesley to Blake Arena before opening conference road action at WPI on September 26. The Pride's home conference schedule also includes Smith (September 29), Emerson (October 3), MIT (October 17), Mount Holyoke (October 20) and Salve Regina (November 3).

Conference road matches will take Springfield to Wheaton (October 7), Coast Guard (October 13), Clark (October 27) and Babson (November 7) to close out the regular season.
The tough non-conference schedule continues throughout October with the annual New England Challenge on the 23rd and 24th against Tufts, Middlebury and Williams before heading to eastern New York on Halloween for a tri-match with Union and St. Lawrence.

The NEWMAC Tournament will begin on Tuesday, November 10 and a champion will be crowned on Sunday, November 15. The higher seeded team will be named the host in the quarterfinal round and the highest remaining seed earning hosting rights for the semifinal and final. The winner of the NEWMAC title will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament.
