Springfield, Mass. – March 13, 2025 – The Springfield College Department of Athletics surpassed $300,000 in gifts for the first time ever in a record-breaking day of support on the tenth anniversary of Giving Day and the Maroon vs. White Challenge on Thursday, March 6.
The Springfield College Athletics community came together and saw a record 1,238 donors with impressive participation from alumni, parents and friends of each team. In total, 17 programs reached their donor goals and 20 programs saw 20 or more donors contribute.
"We could not be more thankful for the incredible support from our alumni, family and friends," said Director of Athletics
Craig Poisson. "Your record-breaking donations will go directly towards enhancing the student-athlete experience and we are excited to see our programs continue to thrive."
The Maroon vs. White Challenge met its goal once again as just nine donors separated the two teams with the Maroon Team coming out in front and winning this year. A total of 686 donors gave to Team Maroon and 677 donors gave to Team White.
