Women's Lacrosse Eases By Mount Holyoke, 19-3, in Regular Season Finale

Springfield, Mass. – April 23, 2025 – The Springfield College women's lacrosse team rolled to a 19-3 win over Mount Holyoke College in the regular season finale for both teams on Wednesday evening on Stagg Field.

Springfield ends its regular season at 13-3 overall and 8-2 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play, while Mount Holyoke caps its season at 4-12, 2-8. Springfield will enter the NEWMAC Championship Tournament on Saturday as the three seed and host sixth-seeded Wheaton College at Stagg Field on Saturday at 1:00 pm.

Thirteen different student-athletes scored for Springfield in the win highlighted by a three goal, three assist and three ground ball effort from Lily Johnson (Oceanside, N.Y.)Isabella Mazzi (Niantic, Conn.) registered five points on three goals and two assists, Payton Imhof (Bay Shore, N.Y.) recorded three points on two goals and one assist and Liz Neri (Farmington, Conn.) registered one goal and three assists for four points. Hailey Gaydos (Newington, Conn.) recorded five draw controls and a trio of ground balls as well for the Pride.

As a team, Springfield held a 30-16 differential in shots, a 23-9 advantage in ground balls, a 17-9 edge in draw controls and went 2-for-3 on free position shots and 15-for-17 on the clear. In net, Lindsay Hillemeir (Unionville, Conn.) and Cedar Conrad (Amherst, Mass.) combined to make nine saves for Springfield.

Springfield outscored Mount Holyoke 10-0 in the first and went on to take a 15-0 lead at halftime. Johnson began the scoring just 36 seconds into the game as she buried a shot from Mazzi. Just four minutes later Mazzi scored three straight goals for the Pride in a span of five minutes to make it 7-0 before back-to-back strikes from Johnson and a goal from Kristyn Vasselin (Hudson, Mass.) made it 10-0 after one.

Imhof capped the opening half with back-to-back strikes – one unassisted and one off the stick of Sara Horton (Hudson, Mass.) for the 15-0 lead at the break. In the second half, Sophie Adams (Wethersfield, Conn.)Olivia Naughton (Norwood, Mass.)Molly Moore (Attleboro, Mass.) and Elyse Altland (North Bennington, Vt.) all tallied goals for the Pride en route to the 19-3 final. Moore's goal was the first of her collegiate career.
