Springfield, Mass. – June 30, 2025 - Springfield College's student-athletes delivered yet another outstanding effort in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.
The Pride's 664 total student-athletes earned a 3.535 grade point average, which ranks among the top marks our student-athletes have achieved in person. This past fall, our student-athletes registered the highest in person mark at 3.540, as our student-athletes rounded out another very successful year. The only higher GPA took place in the spring semester of 2020 in a hybrid format due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when Springfield's student-athletes posted a 3.544.
This spring, eight different Springfield College programs had a semester GPA above a 3.70 including men's tennis, men's cross country, field hockey, women's gymnastics, women's swimming and diving, women's tennis, women's volleyball and women's cross country. Additionally, an incredible 86.3 percent of Springfield student-athletes — 573 of 664— produced a 3.0 GPA or better and total of 103 earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. Another 317 delivered a spring GPA between 3.5 and 3.99, while 153 more had between 3.0 and 3.49.
The men's tennis team had the top GPA among men's programs with an impressive mark of 3.889, while on the women's side, the women's cross country team earned a 3.816 team grade point average to lead all women's programs on campus.
