Hoboken, N.J. - September 20, 2025 - The Springfield College women's volleyball team finished competition at the Stevens Quad with sweeps over Oneonta and Sarah Lawrence on Saturday afternoon in Canavan Arena.

Springfield, now 10-2 on the season, defeated Oneonta by scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-11 and Sarah Lawrence by scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-14.

Against Oneonta, Springfield was powered by Jodi Saelua (Mililani, Hawaii), who registered 14 kills and hit .875 (14-0-16). Emily Keaveney (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) added eight kills and hit .389 to go along with a team-best 13 digs, Ahunna James (Plainville, Mass.) notched seven kills, three aces, eight digs and two block and Aubrey Hughes (Liberty Hill, Texas) posted six kills. Tori Colosimo (Fairport, N.Y.) also dished out 26 assists, had five digs and two aces in the sweep.

Springfield raced out to a 13-4 lead in the first as nine of the first 13 points came via kills and two from aces. The run was capped by swings by Saelua and Keaveney before Oneonta made an error. Then up 14-7, Springfield went on another lengthy run - this time 7-0 - that was highlighted by a kill from James and back-to-back aces from Colosimo. Oneonta climbed back within ten, but a pair of errors by the Red Dragons gave Springfield the first 25-13.

Midway through the second, Springfield held a 16-14 edge before back-to-back swings by Hughes and James ignited a 6-2 run to make it 22-16. Hughes and James teamed up down the stretch for another pair of kills to win the second 25-18.

In the third, Springfield jumped out to another large lead - this time 9-3 following two kills from Saelua, a swing by Eva Dudley (Meriden, Conn.) and an ace by James. After trading points and leading 18-11, Springfield scored the final seven points of the set which included four kills from Keaveney to secure the set 25-11 and the three set sweep.

Saelua continued to impress against Sarah Lawrence as she hit .647 with 11 kills on 17 errorless swings and also added eight blocks to her stat line. James tallied nine kills (.438) to go along with ten digs and four blocks, Keaveney notched eight kills, three aces and seven digs and Nealy posted 17 digs in the sweep.

Tied at eight in the first, a kill by Saelua ignited a 7-2 run to push Springfield ahead 15-10. Sarah Lawrence was able to cut the deficit to two but another lengthy run by the Pride - which was capped on kills from Colosimo, Keaveney and James left Springfield with set point at 24-17. One final swing by Keaveney gave the Pride the opening set, 25-18.

The Pride eased by the Gryphons in the second as a trio of kills by Alexa Bonato (Orange, Conn.) paired with a block by Bonato and Saelua put Springfield ahead 12-4. Up 14-11, a kill by Keaveney sparked seven straight points for the Pride which was highlighted by two aces by Colosimo, two kills by Keaveney and swings by both James and Hughes. Bonato put an end to set two on a swing off the block to put Springfield ahead 2-0 following a 25-13 win.
