Boston, Mass. - September 6, 2025 - The Springfield College men's soccer team beat Wentworth, 2-0, after a breakout performance from sophomore
Robby Herrera (Islandia, N.Y.) who came off the bench to score both goals for the Pride which were also the first of his career.
The Pride improves to 2-1 on the season while Wentworth drops to 0-2-2.
In the 25th minute,
Aidan Hallinan (New Windsor, N.Y.) dribbled across midfield and sent a beautiful ball past multiple defenders to connect with Herrera for the first goal of the game.
Less than 10 minutes later,
Parker Gustine (Old Lyme, Conn.) passed to his left to find
Talan Bradley (South Kingstown, RI) who chipped the ball over two defenders to Herrera to score.
Wentworth came out strong in the second half, scoring its lone goal four minutes in, however, they could not match Springfield's two goals.
Noah Pote (Washington, Conn.) had five saves for the Pride. Springfield had two more shots and two more penalty corners than Wentworth.
The Pride will host Curry on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
