Annapolis, Md. - January 10, 2026 - In the first meet of the season, the Springfield College men's gymnastics team was upended by the US Naval Academy on Saturday afternoon, 307.650-306.100.
Kaleb Palacio (Bacliff, Texas) won two events and finished in the top three in three different events. Devon Felsenstein (Blue Bell, Pa.) and Blaise Rousseau (Brecksville, Ohio) also took home wins in their respective events. Palacio and Felsenstein also set new program records as of the new scoring system that was implemented in 2025.
The Pride saw the top two finishers on the vault with Palacio winning it with a program record 14.500 and Evan Reichert (Oswego, Ill.) coming in second with a 13.750. Owen Carney (Sterling, Mass.) tied for fourth with a 13.600.
Palacio won the floor exercise with a 13.650 and Carney finished fourth with a 13.250 while Rousseau won the still rings with a 13.400.
Felsenstein won the pommel horse with a program record 14.100 and Peyton Cramer (Grapevine, Texas) finished third after registering a 13.400
Skyler Cook (Copperas Cove, Texas) tied for second on the parallel bars with a 12.100 while Felsenstein took fourth with a 12.050 and Brian Delf (Delta, British Columbia) took fifth with a 12.000. Palacio finished third with a 13.000 on the high bar.
Springfield will compete at the West Point Open next weekend from January 16-17.
