Keene, N.H. – October 3, 2026 – The Springfield men's cross country team competed at the 2026 Keene State College Invitational, taking part in two races in a field of 34 other schools.
Elijah Quinn (Holyoke, Mass.) led the team in the men's championship 8k, placing 29th with a personal-best time of 26:19.5.
Gabe Schaeffer (Selinsgrove, Pa.) was next to finish, crossing in 86th at 27:16.6.
Ayden Collura (Rocky Hill, Conn.) followed at 28:09.2, with
Ryan Ortoleva (Old Lyme, Conn.) close behind at 28:41.3 as both athletes recorded new personal bests.
Slade Harding (Malden, Mass.) came in at 29:18.0, followed by
Zachary Chasen (Cheshire, Conn.) at 29:29.5, and
Josh Martin (Vernon, Conn.) rounded out the Pride's championship competitors at 30:25.7.
In the men's open 6k,
Harry Yablon (Bellport, N.Y.) finished second with a personal-best time of 20:52.5.
Matthias Cambi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) followed in 11th at 21:53.7, followed by
Jacob Merenda (Madison, Conn.) in 13th at 22:30.9.
Austyn Neidel (Glastonbury, Conn.) placed 15th with a time of 22:41.7, and
Ryan Mateus (Ludlow, Mass.) finished one spot behind at 22:45.7.
Liam Treuel (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) finished in 20th at 23:57.8.
The Pride will head to Westfield for the James Earley Invitational on Saturday, October 10.
