Springfield, Mass. - March 11, 2026 - The Springfield College baseball team completed a comeback as Brandeis led the entire game until the bottom of the sixth inning as Jack Dunaisky (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored on a wild pitch before the Pride added two more insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the win, 10-7.
Springfield has now won six straight games to improve to 6-1 on the season as Brandeis drops its first game of the season to sit a 6-1 overall.
Dunaisky was 3-for-5 as he brought in two runs and scored two runs while Tyler Casey (Wallingford, Conn.) hit two doubles and scored two runs. Michael Lepere (Beacon, N.Y.) and Adam Crocker (Windsor, Nova Scotia) combined to bring in five runs.
Ryan Baker (North Reading, Mass) got the win on the mound as he came in the sixth inning, only letting up one hit and one run over 2.0 innings. Steve Cifarelli (Orange, Conn.) and Ethan Gray (Lincoln, R.I.) held the Judges scoreless before Aaron Little (Ludlow, Mass.) notched his third save of the year as he shut the door on the Judges in the ninth.
Springfield was down 6-1 before scoring two in the bottom of the fourth as two-out walks from Dan Surette (Braintree, Mass.) and Crocker brought in Nate Garafalo (Kinderhook, N.Y.) and Lepere to cut the Judges lead in half, 6-3.
Brandeis added another in the top of the fifth before Springfield went on to score four runs to tie it up in the bottom of the inning. A double from Lepere brought in Dunaisky and Garafalo before Crocker hit a two-out single to bring in Jacob Wagner (Westfield, Mass.) and Dan Vidal (Trumbull, Conn.) to knot it up at seven.
After a scoreless top of the sixth, Dunaisky singled before sliding in safely at home after a wild pitch to give Springfield its first lead of the game, 8-7.
Three straight Springfield batters were retired in the sixth before the Pride rallied for two insurance runs in the ninth as a ground-rule double from Casey scored Chris Balchius (Norwalk, Conn.) and was then brought in by Dunaisky. At the top of the ninth, Little produced three flyouts to give the Pride the 10-7 win.
Springfield will head to Auburndale, Fla. where they'll have a six-game stint beginning on Sunday.
