Springfield, Mass. – April 15, 2026 – Senior setter
Dylan Mulvaney (Reston, Va.) and head coach
Charlie Sullivan once again highlighted this year's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Region I All-Region selections for the top-ranked Springfield College men's volleyball program.
For the second consecutive season, Mulvaney was named as the Region I Player of the Year, while Sullivan was named as the Region I Coach of the Year. This is Mulvaney's third major AVCA Regional honor as he was tabbed as Region I Player of the Year a season ago and as the Northeast Region Newcomer of the Year in 2023, while Sullivan picked up his fifth regional coach of the year award also earning the recognition in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2025.
Mulvaney was joined by
Brennan Cutter (Trumbull, Conn.),
Sam Levinson (LaGrange, Ill.) and
Carter Durivage (East Greenbush, N.Y.) on the All-Region I squad. Springfield was tied for the most selections in the country this year alongside Lasell University, Messiah University, New York University, and Wentworth.
As Springfield's setter, Mulvaney has powered the Pride to a hitting percentage of .348, which ranks first in the country heading into this weekend's NCAA Championship Tournament. The senior also ranks 16th nationally in assists per set averaging 9.74 and has totaled 750 assists this season. He also became the fourth student-athlete in program history to eclipse 3,000 career assists joining Tucker Short '03 (4,728), Eric Shoemaker '10 (4,046) and Bret Stothart '98 (3,931).
Cutter and Levinson are tied for second on the team with 148 kills this year. In 57 sets, Levinson has hit .289 and averages 2.60 kills per set, while Cutter, who as appeared in 75 sets, has hit .500 with 1.97 kills per set. Cutter also leads the Pride with 64 total blocks. Durivage leads Springfield's offensive attack with 210 kills (3.00 per set) as he has played in 70 sets this season. Durivage also has produced a hitting percentage of .334 for the Pride in 2026.
Springfield (21-3) will take on either Buffalo State University or New Jersey City University in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament on Friday night at 4:00 pm in Blake Arena.
