Northampton, Mass. – Saturday, September 19 – The Springfield College women's cross country team finished third as a team at the 2026 Ellen O'Neil Invitational, hosted by Smith College.
 
Smith won the meet with 15 points and was followed by Babson (55), Springfield (71) and Albany College of Pharmacy (105). 
 
Ava Ciccone (Cheshire, Conn.) led Springfield, placing 8th with a time of 25:50.8. Sara St. Germain (Somers, Conn.) was next in 14th at 26:02.0, followed by Molly Woodford (Southbury, Conn.) in 15th at 26:13.2. Emily Hye (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) finished 16th with a time of 26:14.9, and Kayleigh Jensen (Salem, Conn.) rounded out the Pride's scorers in 19th at 26:45.9.
 
Elisa Narain (Holden, Mass.) was the next Springfield runner to cross the line, placing 20th with a time of 27:09.9. Lauren Roche (Corning, N.Y.) followed in 26th at 28:22.7, with Alexandra Henrichon (Huntington, Mass.) close behind in 29th at 28:37.0. Paige Spooner (Sturbridge, Mass.) and Chloe Ballard (Norwalk, Conn.) rounded out the pack with times of 29:29.4 and 32:49.1, respectively.
 
Springfield will race at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday, October 3 in Keene, N.H.
