CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT womenÂ's tennis team topped Springfield College, 9-0, in the New England WomenÂ's and MenÂ's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener for both teams. The EngineersÂ' ledger improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the league while the Pride fell to 0-1 on the year and 0-1 in the NEWMAC.
MIT will continue conference play on Saturday, Sept. 20 at Mount Holyoke College while Springfield will host Western New England College on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
