Brunswick, Maine – October 2, 2026 – Select student-athletes from the Springfield College women's tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Regional Championships on Friday, hosted by Bowdoin College.
First-year Nadia Andrew (Newtown, Conn.) advanced to the round of 32 in the B Singles draw, defeating Sofie Dube of Smith College, 8-5. She will compete tomorrow against 9-16 seed Emma Jani of Colby College.
Peyton Gaudreau (Branford, Conn.) competed in the A Singles draw, falling to eighth-seeded Katie Driscoll of MIT, 6-3, 6-0. Natalia Peyón (Discovery Bay, Hong Kong) also competed in the championship bracket, falling to Skylar Jara of Colby-Sawyer, 6-1, 6-0.
In the B Singles draw, Ava Shea (Belchertown, Mass.) came up short against 9-16 seed Claudia Grove of Tufts University, falling 8-0. Emalee Chaisson (Belchertown, Mass.) fell to Bates' Jasleen Chohan, 8-2.
In doubles action, Shea and Andrew fell to Gaby Shiao and Maya Munhunthan of Amherst College, 8-3.
