Newport, R.I. — March 28, 2009 — The Springfield College women’s tennis team won five of six singles matches, and all of its doubles matches, in defeating Salve Regina University, 8-1, this afternoon in southern Rhode Island.
With the win, Springfield is now 3-10, while Salve Regina drops to 8-5.
Singles winners for the Pride included Amy Shaw at No. 1, Funmi Olowookere at No. 2, Talya Pessolano at No. 4, Kristi Maltz at No. 5, and Danielle Lamb at No. 6.
