Cambridge, Mass. — April 3, 2010 — Doug Nickerson provided the only team point at No. 6 singles, but that was all the Springfield College men’s tennis team had to shout about, as MIT defeated the Pride today, 8-1, in Cambridge. With the win, the Engineers are now 7-1 overall, 1-0 in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference, while Springfield is now 2-8 overall, 0-2 in NEWMAC play.
Springfield played well in the first half of its No. 1 doubles match, taking a 6-3 lead before falling 8-6.
