New London, Conn. – April 9, 2011 – The Springfield College men’s tennis team lost on the road at the Coast Guard Academy by the score of 9-0 in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops Springfield to 3-3, 0-2 in league action.

Eric Henne had Springfield’s closet match of the day as he lost at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 7-5.

Springfield will return to play on Tuesday afternoon when it travels to take on Holy Cross in non-conference play.
