Worcester, Mass. – April 21, 2011 – Visiting Springfield College got a pair of three set victories in singles matches and took two of three in doubles en route to a 5-4 win over Clark University in New England WomenÂ's and MenÂ's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) menÂ's tennis action on Thursday evening.
 The Pride improve to 4-5 on the season, with a 1-3 ledger in league play, while the Cougars slip to 3-10 and 0-4 in NEWMAC action.
 After Harris Rollinger and Dan Hall knocked off Ben Burnap and Doug Nickerson, 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, SpringfieldÂ's Zach OÂ'Leary and John Schrank took down Bram Smith and Spencer Brightman, 8-4 at No. 2.
 The Pride combination of Eric Henne and Joe Giannelli then posted an 8-5 win over Aaron Chin and Nathan Maltais to send the visitors into singles play ahead 2-1.
 Diego Angel registered a straight set win for Clark at No. 1, besting Burnap, 6-1, 6-1, and then Rollinger notched a 6-2, 7-6 win over Nickerson at No. 2.
 OÂ'Leary collected a straight set 6-2, 6-2 win over Chin for Springfield at No. 3, but Dan Paradee answered with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 5 over Giannelli.
 The Pride, however, were able to get a pair of three set wins at No. 4 and No. 6 to help secure their first league win of the season.
 First, Hall took the first set of his match with Henne, 6-4, but Henne responded by taking the next two, 6-3, 6-4 to earn the win.
 Then Schrank, who dropped the first set to Maltais 7-5, rebounded and posted wins in the second (6-4) and third (6-2) to take the match.ÂÂ
