Babson Park, Mass. – November 6, 2012 – Junior Jennifer Thompson was named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women’s Diver of the Week after a pair of standout performances to begin the season.

The Cheshire, Conn. native has had a great start to the season as she has recorded three national qualifying scores through the first two meets of the season.

In the Pride’s opener against Holy Cross, she won the one-meter with a 251.46 before qualifying for nationals on the three-meter with a winning score of 271.95. In a tri-meet with URI and Coast Guard, Thompson posted the top score on the one-meter board, a national qualifying mark of 263.5. Thompson was also tops on the three-meter board, registering another national mark of 270.90.
