Orlando, Fla. – March 12, 2012 – The Springfield College men’s tennis team opened up its Spring Break trip with a pair of losses to Roger William and St. Ambrose on Monday. Roger Williams prevailed by a score of 6-3, while St. Ambrose was victorious, 7-2.

With the two losses, Springfield is now 3-4 this year.

In the loss to Roger Williams, Kyle Mersereau grinded out a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, while Ben Burnap won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2 singles.

Burnap factored into both of the Pride’s win against St. Ambrose. He teamed with Mersereau at No. 2 doubles for a 8-5 win before taking No. 2 singles by the scores of 3-6, 6-2, (10-8).
