Dudley, Mass. – September 19, 2012 – The Springfield College men’s tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision in its first match of the season at Nichols College on Wednesday afternoon at Francis W. Robinson Courts in a non-conference contest.
With the win the Bison improve to 3-0 while Springfield falls to 0-1 in its 2012-13 dual match slate.
Ben Burnap and Kyle Mersereau had the top Springfield showing in doubles, falling 8-4 in the No.1 spot.
In singles play, Burnap fell at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2 , as did Alex Orban at his No. 4 singles spot.
On Saturday, the Pride will travel to take on Connecticut College.
