Springfield, Mass.-September 29, 2014- Justin Danielewicz (Portland, Conn.) picked up victories in both singles and doubles play Monday afternoon, but the Springfield College men's tennis team came up short 7-2 to Endicott College.
Danielewicz battled alongside fellow sophomore classmate Tanner DeVarennes (Lee, Mass.) in the No. 1 doubles slot, as they won 9-7. He then went on to win his singles matchup at the No. 2 spot, 6-2, 7-5.
DeVarennes grinded it to the last set in No. 1 doubles, but was clipped 5-7, 6-2, 10-5.
Kyle Beynor (Prospect, Conn.) and Joshua Robinson (Southold, N.Y.) had a great showing at No. 2 doubles, but fell 6-8 to counterparts Eric Pierce and Sean McAndrews. Robinson also went the distance for the Pride at No. 5 singles, ultimately dropping a 6-4, 6-7 (7-9), 10-5 decision.
The Pride return home to Appleton Courts on Friday to take on cross town rival Western New England.
