Orlando, Fla.-March 16, 2015- The Springfield College men's tennis team was defeated by Colby-Sawyer College, 5-4, on Monday evening as part of the Pride's annual Spring Break trip.

Tanner DeVarennes (Lee, Mass.) and Justin Danielewicz (Portland, Conn.) both provided points for the Pride in singles play.  DeVarennes took down opponent Andrew Peloquin in No. 1 singles by score of 6-2, 6-2, while Danielewicz battled Dean Boodakian to a 3-6,6-2, 11-9 decision in No. 2 singles.

In doubles action, DeVarennes and Danielwicz teamed up to setback Colby-Sawyer 8-2.  Nate Weissman (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Joshua Robinson (Southold, N.Y.) tallied a point for Springfield, as the two captured the 8-3 victory in No. 3 doubles play.

Springfield will hit the courts again on Wednesday morning when it squares off with Knox College at 11:30 am.
