Men's Gymnastics Finishes Fourth at Navy Open

Annapolis, Md. - January 30, 2016 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team finished fourth at the Navy Open on Saturday afternoon as it posted 394.750 points.

Navy won the four-team competition with 414.050, followed by William and Mary (402.650), Temple (394.950), and Springfield.

Tucker McClure (San Jose, Calif.) scored Springfield's best score on three events, posting a 13.700 on the pommel horse, a 14.300 on the vault, and a 13.600 on the high bar.

On the floor exercise, Philip Ordonez (Jacksonville, Fla.) posted a team-best score of 13.800, while his mark of 13.000 on parallel bars was the Pride's best tally.

Additionally, Joshua Dieker (Ovieda, Fla.) registered a 14.050 on the rings to highlight Springfield's rotation.

Both Ordonez and Dieker competed in the all-around for Springfield, with Dieker finishing third after registering a 80.350.

Springfield will compete next Sunday when it plays host to the New England Invitational Championships.
