Willamsburg, Va. - April 3, 2016 - Four members of the Springfied College men's gymnastics team competed at the ECAC Championships on Sunday afternoon on the campus of William & Mary.
A night after taking fifth in the all-around competition, senior Jon Zirna (East Amherst, N.Y.) earned two additional all-conference honors on the pommel horse and parallel bars. Zirna was the runner up on the pommel horse with a 14.200, and tied for sixth on the parallel bars after registering a 13.400.
After qualifying with the 10th-best score on the rings on Friday, sophomore Joshua Dieker (Oviedo, Fla.) was tremendous in Sunday's finals, putting together a career-high mark of 14.450 to finish sixth for all-conference accolades.
Tucker McClure (San Jose, Calif.) competed in three events and finished seventh on the pommel with a 13.300, took eighth on the vault with a 14.300 and placed ninth on the floor with a 13.250. Freshman Jannik Haas(San Jose, Calif.) placed ninth on the parallel bars after recording a 12.700.
