Springfield, Mass. - April 20, 2023 - In the final match of the regular season, the Springfield College women's tennis team was bested by visiting Trinity, 7-2, on Thursday at Appleton Courts.

Springfield had its four-match winning streak snapped as it dropped to 9-8 on the year and will now await to see who it will play in the upcoming New England Women's and Men's Atheltic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship Tournament. 

In doubles, the No. 3 squad of Veronica Fulgieri (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and Alysa Elliott (Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia) battled their way to an 8-7 (9-7) victory, while Emma Aberle (West Warren, Mass.) would prevail by a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 decision at the No. 6 spot in singles competition.
