Springfield, Mass. – September 6, 2023 – The Springfield College women's soccer team battled its way to a 0-0 draw with Western New England on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference play on Suprenant Field.

Springfield is now 1-0-1 on the year, while the Golden Bears are also 1-0-1. 

The Pride was dominant on the afternoon, holding a 24-4 advantage in shots, including a 16-1 edge in the second 45 minutes of play.  Taryn Ryan (Holyoke, Mass.) earned the shutout for the Pride in goal, needing to make just one save.

Both Kayla McGrath (North Adams, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Suller (Oviedo, Fla.) each were credited with six shots in the game for Springfield. 

Springfield will head to Long Island this weekend to take on Western Connecticut and Farmingdale State, competing on both Saturday and Sunday.
