Boston, Mass. – February 25, 2024 – The Springfield College women's track and field team competed at the New England Division III Championships on Sunday afternoon at the Track at New Balance. As a team, the Pride finished 25th overall.

Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) had the best finish for the Pride as she took seventh in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.10-seconds after recording a 9.04 in prelims. Sophomore
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.) placed 13th in the 800-meter run in 2:22.91, junior
Maddie Shea (Amherst, Mass.) took 15th in the 3,000-meter run in 10:28.92, senior
Gwen Andersen (Pawcatuck, Conn.) placed 22nd in the 200-meter dash in 26.36 and senior
Kate Bonanno (Ellington, Conn.) took 25th in the 5,000-meter run in 19:26.27.

Katelynn Taylor (Franklin, Mass.) led the way for Springfield in the field events as she placed eighth in the weight throw with a best toss of 14.52-meters (47 feet, 7 inches) and 14th in the shot put with a best throw of 11.44-meters (37 feet, 6.5 inches). Junior
Samantha Paul (Albany, N.Y.) rounded out the highlights from today with a tenth place finish in the triple jump with a best leap of 10.91-meters (35 feet, 9.5 inches).
Next weekend, Springfield will compete at the AARTFC Championships on the campus of Nazareth University and the All-New England Championships back at the Track at New Balance.
