Marlborough, Mass. - April 6, 2026 - Springfield College women's track and field junior Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Track Athlete of the Week after a sucessful weekend on the track.

DeFosse recorded a pair of wins on Saturday at the SC Outdoor Classic including a time of 14.32 in the 100-meter hurdles, which ranks seventh in Division III this season. DeFosse also teamed up with the 4x100-meter relay for a time of 48.62-seconds almost a second and a half faster than the quartet from WPI.

Springfield will head to the UMass Commonwealth Invitational on Saturday at 10:00 am.
